Delete your data

In the app

1. Open Outloud Reader on your iPhone, iPad or Android phone.
2. Go to Account.
3. Tap Delete my data and confirm.

The deletion takes effect at once and is the same on every platform. The Privacy Policy describes it in full.

What is erased

• your page balance, including paid pages you haven’t used;
• your imports still on our server, with their photos and texts;
• the activity records tied to your account (including app usage events and page labels), and the log of your subscription’s checks;
• your devices’ access to the account, so it can’t be used again.

On Android, the account key in your Google backup is also replaced with a new one.

What is kept

• Your books stay in the library on your devices. Deleting a book, or the app, removes them. On iPhone and iPad, Delete data from iCloud in the app removes them from iCloud; on Android, manage backups in your phone’s settings.
• Your Premium subscription is not cancelled. Cancel it in your Apple Account settings or in Google Play → Subscriptions.
• What we need to handle money and prevent abuse: a record that the account existed and was deleted; the transaction numbers of packs credited to it and of any refunds; and a note that the account has already received its free pages.
• The record of your consent stays, to show what was agreed.
• Usage records (plain statistics, none of your text) and your purchase record at RevenueCat stay for now; write to us and we will remove them.
• Cached content, audio and logs expire by themselves, within 7 days.

The Privacy Policy lists every kind of record and how long it is kept.

If you no longer have the app

Installing the app again on the same phone usually brings your account back, and you can then delete your data as described above. If that isn’t possible, write to support@outloudreader.app and tell us what you want deleted. We may need to confirm that the account is yours before acting. We answer within one month, and we don’t charge for it.
